Doug Roller
Chairman of the Board

Doug is Chairman of the Board of Directors for Duck Creek; he co-founded Duck Creek in January of 2000 and served as the CEO until becoming Chairman in 2008. Under his leadership the company experienced tremendous growth. He and the other founders continue to play a significant role in Duck Creek’s rapid growth and prominence in the insurance industry. With the proven ability to build successful technology companies, Doug’s focus is to guide Duck Creek through its growth phases, and to continue to lead the company to deliver market-leading software and services to the insurance industry.

Prior to Duck Creek, Doug founded Micro-Magic Systems in 1981 and served as its CEO. Micro-Magic pioneered the development and marketing of insurance rating software and services to independent insurance agents. Micro-Magic was acquired by AMS in 1986, and became the cornerstone of AMS Rating Services, the largest property-casualty insurance rating organization in the United States. He served as the founding divisional CEO and also served in other key AMS corporate leadership roles until 1996. Throughout his career, Doug has served on numerous business, education, and charitable boards. He holds both a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in English.


Management Team

Steve Hall
President and Chief Executive Officer

Steve leads all operational areas of the company to include Sales and Marketing, Professional Services, Product Management and Development, Finance, Information Technology, Architecture, and Human Resources.

Prior to joining Duck Creek, Steve was president and CEO of Colonial Companies (Colonial Life and Accident Insurance Company), and a partner and CFO of The Trelys Funds, a venture capital investment group based in Columbia. His previous experience includes tenure as president and CEO of Quickfarm, Inc.; president and CEO of Conita Technologies; chairman and CEO of Queue Systems; and, founder and CEO of Target Pro Productions. Steve holds undergraduate, Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Business Administration. He also completed programs in Competitive Strategy, Corporate Finance, Strategic Marketing, and Managing the Information Resource at the Harvard Business School. Steve is a Fellow in the Life Management Institute.

Will Jeffords
Chief Financial Officer

Will leads the Finance and Accounting team at Duck Creek which drives strategic financial and operational activity including planning, budgeting, controls/process, reporting and legal activities.

Prior to joining Duck Creek, Will held positions in Operations, Strategy, Marketing, and Product Management at Avaya, Inc. and Conita Technologies, Inc. Will holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Economy, in addition to a J.D. and Int’l M.B.A.

Curtis Gekle
Executive Vice President – Sales and Marketing

In November 2007, Curtis joined Duck Creek and leads the Sales, Marketing and Business Development teams.

Prior to joining Duck Creek, Curtis served as General Manager/Senior Vice President of Performance Management for Infor Global Solutions with responsibility for over $165M in revenue. Prior to Infor Global Solutions, Curtis had an extensive career at Cognos Corporation ultimately serving as the General Manager/Senior Vice President of Field Operations, Americas Operations with responsibility for over $500M in revenue. During his tenure he was instrumental in development of Cognos’ core business intelligence business from its initial start-up to its position as an industry leader. He served as Vice President of Sales, Americas Operations, Vice President of Business Intelligence Sales & Services and Area Vice President of Sales for the Northeast area. During his varied leadership positions, he has managed Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, Product Management, Development, Finance, Human Resources and Legal. Curtis holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and also has completed the Columbia Senior Executive Program and the Columbia Finance and Accounting Executive Program at Columbia University.

John Roller
Senior Vice President – Product Development

John is a co-founder of the company and leads Duck Creek’s Product Development team which includes Platform Development, Insurance Product Development, and Customer Support. John has previously served in other key management roles in Operations and Services.

Prior to Duck Creek, John served as Vice President of Operations with AMS Rating Services through 1999. He began with AMS in 1987, and held progressive leadership roles in the Micro Magic/AMS organization throughout his 13-year tenure. From his start as a Commercial Lines Developer, John also served as Commercial Lines Manager, Commercial and Personal Lines Product Manager, Development Manager, and Site Operations Manager at AMS. Before entering the insurance technology industry, John previously was an educator and coach at the high school and college level. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.

Sam McGuckin
Senior Vice President – Professional Services Delivery

Sam leads Duck Creek’s Professional Services organization which includes all implementation, integration and outsourcing services.

Prior to joining Duck Creek, Sam worked for Policy Management System Corporation (PMSC) and later CSC for 22 years. During that time Sam was a Development Manager for PMSC's billing system; served as a Professional Services Manager; oversaw the initial development of the Project Directors and PMO organization; and spent several years as a Senior Account Executive in CSC's Sales organization. Sam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Administration.

Kerrick Tweedy
Chief Product Officer

Since the founding of Duck Creek, Kerrick has been involved in several areas including product development, leading the implementation team, and most recently, leading our information team as CIO of the company.

Prior to Duck Creek, Kerrick was a Senior Developer with AMS Rating Services. He began with Micro Magic in 1985 and held progressive technical and development positions in the Micro Magic/AMS organization throughout his 14-year tenure. Kerrick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Business Administration, and also reached the rank of Corporal in four years of service in the U.S. Marine Reserves.

Andrew Yohn
Chief Technology Officer

Andrew is a co-founder of the company and is responsible for the overall architecture and technical strategy of the software applications and products. Since 1987, Andrew has been involved in software design and development for the insurance industry.

Prior to Duck Creek, Andrew was a Development Manager and Senior Developer with AMS Rating Services. He began his career with Micro Magic in 1987, and held progressive technical and development positions in the Micro Magic/AMS organization throughout his 13-year tenure. Andrew holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics and Music.
