Employee TrainingDuck Creek University (DCU), a dedicated training and development department, is committed to the successful orientation and continued development of all employees. DCU ensures employees have the opportunity to improve their skills, increase their industry knowledge, and experience professional and personal growth. For added convenience, DCU has state-of-the-art training facilities, an e-learning program for remote or traveling employees, and a staff that brings significant training and industry experience to the classroom. Orientation for new "Ducks" includes an initial DCU training session that lasts 1-3 weeks depending on position. This session helps to reduce the stress involved with starting a new job with a new company by exposing employees to our internal systems, an overview of the insurance industry, and an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with Duck Creek's EXAMPLE AuthorĀ® tool. DCU provides continued education for all employees in multiple areas including insurance, project management, numerous technical tracks, and in-depth Duck Creek software training sessions. Duck Creek's goal is to attract, recruit, and hire only the difference makers to become new Ducks, and we strive to find the best person for the position. However, we will typically consider internal candidates before proceeding with the external recruiting process. Duck Creek has a formal internal application process to direct employees through the appropriate steps when considering other opportunities within the organization. All employees receive a comprehensive performance review at least annually from their supervisors. The primary objective for the annual review is to stimulate professional growth and the development of core skills in their respective positions. However, supervisors are encouraged to provide regular feedback to their team members to support further discussions about development and career goals. |
