Duck Creek Technologies Connects with Insurance Information Exchange (iiX)

Integration Automates Manual Processes for Farmers Mutual Protective Association of Texas

Bolivar, MO, October 11, 2005 - Duck Creek Technologies, Inc., a provider of rating and policy administration software for the insurance industry, announced today that it has completed an integration to provide insurers with Insurance Information Exchange’s A-PLUS™ Claims History Reports through the EXAMPLE Platform®. Duck Creek client, Farmers Mutual Protective Association of Texas, commonly known as RVOS, is the first to utilize the new integrated capabilities.

Prior to the integration, RVOS had been using iiX’s ExpressNet online solution to retrieve the A-PLUS™ Claims History Reports. When RVOS selected Duck Creek’s EXAMPLE Platform® earlier this year for the development of a Web-based quoting and submission system, the insurer wanted to have the systems integrated to support a fully-automated underwriting process.

iiX A-PLUS™ Claims History Reports supply critical underwriting data in real-time to the Duck Creek Platform during the underwriting process for a streamlined quoting decision. Duck Creek implemented a number of efficiencies, including an automatic indicator to notify RVOS when report data expires.
