Duck Creek Technologies’ EXAMPLE Platform enables insurance carriers to quickly transform their products into Web-enabled insurance services such as rating, underwriting, and policy processing. The XML-based Platform provides rapid deployment of any line of business to any point on the value chain.

The Platform consists of components. Buyers of the Platform purchase those pieces that are required for their environment, with the option to add other components as needed.

• EXAMPLE Author® defines all features of an insurance product definition, including rates, rules, algorithms, documentation, screen flow, and policy transactions—all in a user-friendly environment.
• EXAMPLE ManuScripts™ are the XML documents that preserve the intelligence of the product definitions created with EXAMPLE Author.
• EXAMPLE Server® transforms ManuScripts into powerful, Web-enabled services, such as rating, underwriting, and policy processing.
• EXAMPLE Express® instantly Web-enables any product defined by EXAMPLE Author.
• EXAMPLE Templates™ are customizable, off-the-shelf products that provide rating, rules, stat codes and forms support for standard commercial insurance products.
• EXAMPLE TransACT® extends EXAMPLE Express to support policy administration.
• EXAMPLE Forms™ extends the EXAMPLE Platform to support rule-based form definition, run-time form generation, and a variety of printing and routing options for generated form output.
